Larry Kimberlin, DVM is a licensed Texas veterinarian with more than 20 years mixed animal practice experience.

Dr. Kimberlin is a certified member of the International Association of Equine Dentistry.

Crossroads Equine Dentistry services:
  • Dental procedures:(see Types of Dental Problems for explanation of terms)
    • general exam
    • basic dental equilibration (includes initial tranquilization, floating, bit seats)
    • additional tranquilization (if needed)
    • wolf teeth, blind wolf teeth extraction
    • cap extraction
    • correction of protuberant teeth (hooks, ramps, steps, waves)
    • incisor reduction/bite realignment
    • tooth extraction
    • restorative/orthodontic dentistry

  • "House calls"
    • horses may be treated at Crossroads Clinic or at owner's location (there is a call fee for fewer than 5 horses treated at the owner's location)

  • Fees
    • general exam: $35 (exam fee waived if recommended work is performed)
    • basic dental equilibration: $80
    • additional tranquilization: $15
    • wolf teeth extraction: $10-20
    • blind wolf teeth extraction: $30
    • cap extraction: $5-15 each
    • correction of hooks, ramps, steps, waves: $10-25 each
    • incisor reduction/bite realignment: $25-50
    • tooth extraction: price quoted on examination -fees vary according to tooth (incisor or molar) and pathology
    • restorative/orthodontic dentistry: price quoted on examination
    • call fee:
      • no charge for 5 or more horses
      • within 10 miles: $75
      • more than 10 miles: $75 plus $2 for each additional mile

  • Service area
    • northeast Texas
    • Dr. Kimberlin will travel to other areas for treatment of 10 or more horses at one location
