for a Healthy Horse

performance and optimum health for your horse don't "just happen"!
Your
horse depends on you to provide the conditions needed for overall fitness
and well-being. Keep him in top condition by paying attention to the following:
- good
nutrition

adequate intake for age/breed/use of horse

good quality feed

preventive health care

vaccination against infectious equine diseases

encephalitis, including Eastern, Western, Venezuelan, West Nile

rhinopneumonitis

some vaccines may be needed more than once per year, depending on:

travel with horse

dental health

maintenance exam and treatment by qualified vet experienced in equine
dentistry every 6-12 months

check mouth weekly for sores

palpate cheeks for sharp points

check for symptoms of dental problems
